680 km/7 days
The route can be tackled by factory-made four-wheel-drive cars, although the level of difficulty will certainly depend on current weather conditions. We aimed to allow interaction with nature and to see several well-known and forgotten tourist attractions.
We planned to camp using our own equipment and drive leisurely, covering approximately six hours per day over seven days. Therefore, the route is divided into stages, starting and ending near lakes at selected overnight locations. Most of these spots have camping facilities, while two are entirely ‘wild.’ A few require payment.
For the entire trip (including the journey there and back), it’s best to reserve nine days. Note: the route runs along both sides of the Polish-Lithuanian border. Remember to bring personal identification or passports (including those for children).
